The one thing I wanted when I was sick, besides to survive, was to meet survivors. I wanted to know that there were others out there who had been to hell and back and they were living normal lives. This cancer thing was just a speed bump in their life. That’s what I had been told, this is just a speed bump. It’s pretty hard to visualize an itty bitty speed bump when you are in the midst of fighting for your life, but here I am sixteen years after being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and I can see their perspective now. I can also see how important it is to share our stories. To let others know that they are not alone.
So, here I am to share my story of survival. I will post about everything from how I first discovered I was sick to going back to normal life and how challenging that was for me. I also want to hear from others who have survived and feel like they want to share any part of their story. There can never be too many examples of hope.
Beautiful, can’t wait to read more about this!
